In Scripture it’s called the gift of discernment...
UNIFYING FLOW OF CLARITY (Clair-GIFTS)
I believe true empaths have one or more of the "CLAIR" Gifts, once we get into the unifying flow within ourselves, such as:
CLAIRVOYANCE
“Clair Voyance” — Clear Seeing
Clairvoyance is the ability to gain information about people, events, or physical objects through means other than the known senses. Clairvoyant persons usually have extraordinary perceptions beyond what is considered normal sensory contact.
The term clairvoyance comes from the French words "Clair", meaning clear, and "voyance", meaning vision.
CLAIRAUDIENCE
Clear Hearing
Clairaudience is the ability to receive information or data with the mind, rather than through the ears. This ability may be experienced as inner voices, auditory hallucinations, or a sensation of telepathic communication.
CLAIRCOGNIZANCE
Clear Knowing
Thoughts that seemingly come from nowhere, shoot into your mind, and give you knowledge about something that might happen in the future or has happened in the past.
These are often referred to as intuitive thoughts.
The ability to access a higher level of consciousness or receive information through one’s thoughts, accompanied by an increased state of awareness.
CLAIRSENTIENCE
Clear Feeling (EMPATHS)
Feeling the information or experience of another person within your own body and/or mind.
Example: If someone is having an anxiety attack, the Clairsentience person feels it as if it’s happening in his or her chest.
CLAIRGUSTANCE
Clear Tasting
Tasting something that isn’t physically there at the time of tasting.
A psychic ability to taste things without physically consuming them. This ability allows a person to taste food or drink even if they are not eating or drinking anything at the time.
CLAIRALIENCE
Clear Smelling
Smelling odors that are not present at the time Is clairalience.
It is sometimes referred to as psychic smelling. People who claim to have this ability may report smelling a particular scent associated with a deceased loved one, or they may be able to smell things like illness or danger in the atmosphere.

Extrasensory perception (ESP) is the paranormal sensing of sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch.
Extrasensory perception (ESP) is divided into three categories, telepathy, clairvoyance, and precognition, which deliver information relevant to the present, past, or future that cannot be obtained through normal senses.
ESP IS STUDIED IN FIELD CALLED PARAPSYCHOLOGY
Parapsychology is the scientific study of paranormal or supernatural phenomena.
Parapsychology is typically conducted using rigorous scientific methods, such as statistical analysis and double-blind experiments, to investigate claims of paranormal phenomena.

ESP — NOT A SENSE AS WE UNDERSTAND "SENSES”
Though called an extra sense, ESP does not function like normal physical senses.
Research on the nature of ESP shows that it cannot be explained or quantified by physical laws; it seems to operate in an alternate reality (see Eileen J. Garrett). Hypotheses have proposed that an individual experiences ESP when information in the subconscious, the collective unconscious, or the superconscious (the soul) is accessed.

Prophecy
Throughout the Old and New Testaments, there are numerous instances when God speaks to His prophets and gives them knowledge of future events.
This can be considered a form of extrasensory perception as the prophets are receiving information directly from God beyond what their physical senses can perceive.
Dreams and Visions
In the Bible, dreams and visions are often used as a means of communication from God to individuals.
This can include prophetic dreams, like those experienced by Joseph in the book of Genesis, or visions of heaven and future events, like those described in the book of Revelation.
Miracles
The Bible is full of accounts of miraculous events that go beyond what we can explain with natural laws.
This includes Jesus healing the blind and deaf, calming storms, and raising people from the dead.
These events could be interpreted as a form of ESP, as they involve supernatural knowledge and abilities beyond what humans can ordinarily do.
